This traditional design uses stained glass elements to depict three major groups that contributed to the historical establishment and growth of St. Albert Parish during the last 150 years.
The face represents the Grey Nuns, the feather symbolizes the Aboriginal people, and the cross represents the Oblates. Roots at the bottom of the cross depict the growth of the Parish through dedication and commitment of those who settled here and worked to make the Parish a viable faith community. The uplifted face of the Grey Nuns symbolizes the devotion to God and the spread of the Word that were an integral part of the Parish's faith development. The rays coming from the cross represent the spread of God's word in the community through the Oblate Fathers and the Grey Nuns. The stained glass style connects to the historic use of stained glass in the church.
A Jubilee year is a time of conversion and celebration. It is a time to re-commit ourselves to God in joy and to live with our neighbours in peace.
